Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming packages for shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare packages for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred
- Familiarity with order processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments
- Basic computer skills, including experience with word and excel
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
