Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Responsibilities/Duties:
Work with the inventory manager to locate parts and track shipments
Work with front and back counter employees to locate parts, special orders and track shipments
Receive and ship out parts orders
Put incoming freight in designated areas
Process paperwork
Help drivers and others with orders
Complete special order part requests
Perform other duties as assigned
