Green Empire Farms, a high-tech fresh produce greenhouse in Oneida, New York, and a member of the Mastronardi Group of Companies, is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to oversee the shipping of product to our customers in a timely and safe manner. This individual ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day supervision of staff, and overseeing work organized by team leaders.
• Ensures product is slotted/shipped correctly.
• Follow commodity specialist allocations and change orders.
• Ensures all areas work together to fill orders in a timely fashion.
• Understands the process of entering pick tickets in NAV.
• Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork.
• Trains staff and monitors their performance and progress.
• Ensures quality, delivery and objectives, roles, and measures are met.
• Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters.
• Carrying out responsibilities for the use of computerized systems.
• Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Sets up shipping list for day’s business.
• Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
• Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personnel information.

Education/Background Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous managerial experience preferred.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Must have proven track record of managing large groups of employees.
• Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts.
• Spanish as a second language would be an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proficient in computer-use skills (MS Office: Word, Excel).
• Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
• Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statues and guiding principles (FDA, USDA, MIOSHA, OSHA, CFIA).
• Forklift experience required.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs.
