Position Overview : As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with various departments to ensure timely deliveries and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities : Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Prepare and package products for outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing slips. Collaborate with production and procurement teams to fulfill orders and maintain inventory levels.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Keep shipping and receiving areas clean and organized. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent;
additional education or certifications in logistics is a plus. Previous experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Knowledge of shipping software and ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
