Shipping Specialist jobs in Johnstown, PA
Shipping Specialist prepares shipping documentation and processes orders. Coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Being a Shipping Specialist utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. Troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Additionally, Shipping Specialist ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Shipping Specialist typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

We're immediately hiring a Shipping Lead for a well known commercial toner manufacturer in Latrobe Pa. This Shipping Lead schedule will work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Payrate is $18.00 per hour.
Shipping Lead Job Functions:
- To oversee Packaging Department ensuring all production schedules, volumes, and expectations are executed in a cost effective and safe manner.
- Maintain staffing levels within the department.
- Oversees packaging processes, ensuring all touchpoints are being completed on time to meet production needs/goals.
- Verifies toner, container, and carton are correctly packed by the issued written work order.
- Packages each container into the appropriate carton by sealing and stacking each package onto a prearranged skid for shipping purposes.
- Carefully stages each skid of product in the designated area for transportation to the Shipping Department or Warehouse.
- Operates a Hand Truck and/or Lift Truck within the facility.
- Works closely with the Logistics Manager and Customer Service teams during order fulfillment.
- Supervisor experience within a logistics/warehouse/shipping environment.
- Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
