Summary/Objective
The position is responsible for performing all duties related to the daily operations of onsite warehousing, which includes receiving, shipping, stocking, and inventory control of chemical reagents, equipment, and consumable supplies for the unique processes including the shipping of radioactive products to customers. The Specialist will work in close coordination with the personnel in production who share similar logistics duties in other projects across the facility.
Essential Functions
Directly responsible for the day-to-day shipping and receiving activities of Radioisotopes, including but not limited to the following operational and technical aspects:
- Manage the shipment and receipt of hazardous/nonhazardous materials and products.
- Engage with shipping and logistics vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Enter in shipment orders into online system. Generate shipping documentation and labels, including all safety protocol measures.
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate and communicate with Engineers, Laboratory Technicians, and other service providers in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Apply labels and lot numbers to identify materials for production and complete applicable documentation.
- Must recognize, communicate, and comply with different requirements of the various couriers.
- Participates in opportunities to develop industry relevant warehousing knowledge.
- Practices compliance with cGMP and safety and transport operations.
- Ensures components and raw materials are accurately documented, inventoried and stored
- Follow safe handling procedures for high volume, industrial scale loading dock.
- Assist internal customers at the warehouse door. On a case-by-case basis identifies problems, completes proper paperwork, secures parts as needed, and inputs paperwork into the inventory.
- Ensure all packages are inspected prior to acknowledging receipt/return from the carrier.
- Determine proper delivery location for GMP and Non-GMP packages and ensure they are maintained in the appropriate storage conditions.
- Experience handling critical temperature material in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Maintain an accurate log sheet.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, Associates degree in business or equivalent combination of work experience, certifications, and/or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years document control experience in the shipping/receiving warehouse industry.
- Experience with electronic document inventory system preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with hazardous/non-hazardous labeling standards and practices desirable.
- Ability to operate forklift and other miscellaneous power tools.
- Experience with radioactive materials preferred.
- Valid Drivers License.
Travel
- Primarily local during the business day, transport between office in local area.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting/standing.
- Prolonged periods of staring at computer monitor
- Intermittent standing, sitting, squatting, bending, crouching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
