Thos. Moser Cabinetmakers is looking for Shipping Specialist(s) in our Auburn, Maine manufacturing facility. 

The successful candidate(s) will receive and process inventory for shipment, and physically move product between inventory locations ensuring it leaves Thos. Moser in the highest quality and condition. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who is extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect each piece before being wrapped to be sure it is clean and free from damage 
• Physically move product from Production areas to Shipping locations. Blanket wrap and label finished furniture in preparation for shipment
• Assist in loading furniture on trailer, pulling customer’s and other shipper’s pickups. 
• Load local delivery truck in accordance with shipping manifests
• Assist with periodic local delivery direct to customer’s homes and transfers to the Freeport Showroom
• Maintain inventory of corrugated material, pads, tape and other materials needed for packing
• Backup support packaging/boxing items for common carriers: i.e. UPS, FedEx, etc.
• Assist with cycle counting finished product in order to maintain inventory accuracy
• Ability to work OT and flexible to stay beyond regular hours when needed 
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Basic knowledge of excel
• Ability to process transactions in company software
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
• Strong organizational abilities, well-developed interpersonal skills
• Problem solving, time management, prioritizing and decision-making abilities
• Has an appreciation for handcrafted fine furniture and sensitivity to ensuring the product arrives at its destination safely
