Shipping Specialist jobs in West Palm Beach, FL

Seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist for our Peter Glenn retail store. While the primary duties will be back room related, this position must also be able to provide customer service on the retail sales floor. Accuracy, comfort with deadline pressure, and the ability to maintain ongoing interactions with store customers, coworkers, internet customer service personnel, and the accounting department are keys to this position.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a receiving Log on all incoming shipments
• Document any damages, refuse severely damaged or wet boxes and file UPS claims when necessary
• Compare deliveries against packing slips and purchase orders
• Assist with inventory management by following SOPs and investigate discrepancies
• Obtain Return Authorization from Vendor for returns when needed
• Create Debit Memo’s as required
• Print Bar Code tickets for Merchandise and attach to product
• Package & ship merchandise including store transfers as well as customer orders
• Scan all paperwork to Accounting in a timely manner
• Extra duties, as assigned

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:

• Retail experience required
• Candidates must be computer literate
• Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
• Experience with shipping software preferred
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Must have a customer-oriented attitude
• Must be able to squat, lift at least 25-50 lbs., bend, climb, walk, push, and be able to stand for 8 hours per day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
