Sleep Lab Tech PRN Days Position Summary
The Sleep Lab technician’s responsibilities include diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies ordered under the direction of a medical physician. The tech is responsible for performing tests on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The following studies are performed: diagnostic sleep studies, CPAP/BIPAP titration studies and multiple sleep latency testing and the scoring of the test results.

THE SLEEP LAB TECH PRN DAYS WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Must be a graduate of an accredited polysomnographic technology program accredited by the Committee on allied Health education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training.
2. Must have current BCLS certification.
3. Registered or certified respiratory therapist with formal sleep training is acceptable.
4. Eligible for/or successful completion of the registration exam by the board of registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
