The Community for the Advancement of Family Education (CAFÉ) is seeking a motivated, dynamic Small Business Coordinator to join the CAFE team. CAFE’s mission is education-based and various projects center around providing information to the Wenatchee and surrounding areas.
The position will conduct small business outreach and marketing aimed at, but not limited to, Latinx businesses needing support and technical assistance. Working directly with small businesses in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant Counties, this position will advise on best practices, provide direct support and act as a trusted advisor. This position will work to identify the needs of small business, create new business materials and workshops, and interpret existing materials to desired language, and provide detailed monthly reports.
Small Business Development and Outreach:
- Conduct outreach in-person, through email, and over the phone to reach local businesses and respond to their inquiries.
- Create a small business outreach strategy
- Provide outreach to small business throughout Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant Counties through needs assessment (via phone, Zoom & in person visits)
- Develop and implement communications plan to promote small businesses leveraging social media for business promotion
- Implement outreach strategy that can provide immediate support to micro enterprises
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of services and programs available to small businesses throughout Washington State
- Leverage trusted relationship with neighborhood establishments to offer technical assistance, resources, and necessary support
Additional duties:
- Participate in a team rotation to staff events hosted by CAFE including commuter outreach events, business forums, seminars, and other engagements
- Participate in community organizing efforts to provide CAFE and community information and resources;
- Participate in CAFE activities and events;
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual program requirements as established with manager and collaborate with larger team to achieve organizational goals
- Work collaboratively with partner organizations that include the Department of Commerce.
- Represent partner products, service and policies accurately and professionally
- Support organization projects as requested by Director and/or Coordinator;
- Work as a team until team goals are met as requested by Program Manager
- Complete required reports and data entry
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in Spanish and English required
- Familiarity with issues relevant to the Latinx and communities of color
- The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of digital content management systems and social media platforms, and proficiency in Google Services/Microsoft Suite
- The candidate should possess an upbeat and enthusiastic personality, be a team player with a service-oriented mindset
- High level of computer literacy including, MS Office Suite, Google Services, and calendaring
- Valid driver’s license
