Social Media Analyst collects and analyzes data related to social media marketing campaigns. Analyzes social media data to identify patterns and trends. Being a Social Media Analyst monitors social media platforms to determine how a new update or feature impacts audience behavior or content performance. Identifies opportunities for campaign optimization and provides recommendations to improve targeting and messaging. Additionally, Social Media Analyst creates and maintains comprehensive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to monitor marketing performance and communicate insights to stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Social Media Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     JOB PURPOSE
    To assist in the designing, executing, and maintaining of the Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College’s social media presence across all platforms. The role exists to tell the story of Midwestern Seminary and promote the for the Church vision of theological education.
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Develop and schedule organic social content for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, growing engagement and conversation while upholding Midwestern Seminary’s voice and visual identity across the social space.
    • Create content and opportunities to enhance the social media presence and reach to recruit and retain students, donors, and friends.
    • Write engaging social copy with a focus on our students, faculty, and alumni audiences, and lead day-to-day community engagement across platforms, building relationships with followers and influencers.
    • Provide high quality live on-campus social media coverage for events such as For the Church National Conference, Ready Conference, Preview Day, and more. This includes creating Instagram stories, reels, and live tweeting content.
    • Work cross-functionally with our Editorial Team to identify content which can be leveraged across channels.
    • Manage social engagement and scheduling platform, Sprout, providing regular reports to key stakeholders on campus of engagement metrics, social listening findings, and monitoring pertaining to specific situations and audiences.
    • Partner with other Communications team members to develop engaging photography, videography, and graphic designs to expand social media impact.
    • Analyzes industry research and best practices on trends and audience preferences to increase engagement with the seminary and college and performance with target audiences.
    • Continuously adapt to emerging trends, new features and shifts in the ever-changing social landscape
    QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
    Include, but not limited to:
    • Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
    • Experience with personal or institutional social media platforms
    • Desire and availability to cover live on-campus events for social media
    • Ability to travel to major conferences to provide social media coverage
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
    • Organized and self-motivated
    • Adept at working in a team environment
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, or a similar field
    • Strong work ethic, with proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to attend to details well and on time.
    • Proven social media voice that is confident, effective, and engaging.
    • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
    • Must possess a strong attention to detail
    • Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
    • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
    • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Must possess a positive attitude
    • Must be able to show a desire and willingness to learn
    • Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
    • Shared office environment
    • Sometimes required to work flexible hours due to events taking place on-campus.
    • Travel to conferences and events may be required
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
    • Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
