Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will work with marketing team members to shoot and edit content for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and traditional media outlets.
This individual should be an active social media user and will be responsible for brainstorming new ideas and educating the team on current trends to maintain Homemakers’ industry leadership position on social channels. This position works to further foster interaction, education, engagement, and discussion regarding the company’s brand, products, and services.
This position will manage, update, and enhance the HM Social presence. This position will act as a critical link in conveying brand identity to enhance the customer relationship with the HM brand.
Key Tasks
Capturing content using a variety of equipment to balance quality with efficiency
Quickly editing content using Adobe platforms or other similar programs
Packaging content in multiple formats to be best used on various social platforms
Working with team members to promote product and promotions in alignment with Homemakers marketing calendar
Brainstorming ideas and educating team on social media trends in weekly planning meetings
Helping to build company culture by involving other departments in the content creation process
Education/Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Proven experience creating content for various social media platforms
Experience with Adobe programs or similar tools and a proven ability to create clean and on-brand designs and videos
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to create copy for various venues
Strong proofreading, grammar, and creative copywriting skills is a must
Comfortability with learning and using new technology
Displays high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Understands the importance of deadlines
Highly organized, strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment
Content creation and social strategy for commercial use preferred but not required
