Behind the Apron Media is looking for a motivated part-time freelance Social Media Manager to manage and develop content for brands within the food and beverage industry. The ideal candidate has strong storytelling and written skills, has a great design eye, and can contribute to the overarching strategy. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, but who works well in a team environment, to create outstanding content for our clients’ brands.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Social media management – Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

• Identify content (menu updates, culture and partnership opportunities, special events, etc.) for posts and create a content calendar for the upcoming month.
• Work with Behind the Apron Media and Client on changes/updates ahead of the month and throughout the duration of the month, as needed.
• Identifying content pillars for each assigned social media account, as needed.
• Writing informative and/or engaging post copy – reflecting the business’s personality and unique brand proposition. Ensuring the content throughout the month is balanced and aligned to the Client’s content pillars.
• Determining the best creative assets to use in each post based on the Client’s brand visual, content pillars, and upcoming events and desired highlights.
• Creation of designed content and templates in Canva.
• Minor edits to photography such as cropping, leveling, centering, etc.
• Updating social media account bio & bio links in a timely manner based on events and goings-on (within 24 business hours).
• Creating memes as needed, based on pop culture and trends.
• Responding to social media direct messages and comments in no more than 24 business hours.
• Research and implement industry and demographic trends.
• Analyzing metrics to identify patterns and areas for improvement.
• Informing Behind the Apron Media when photo/video shoots are needed.
• Establish workflow and processes or suggest modifications to work efficiently and seamlessly [independently, with team members, and with clients], identify software needs, etc.
• Create mobile phone content as needed.

2. Influencer Marketing – identifying the ideal content creators/influencers based on brand, reach, etc. for assigned clients.

3. Email Marketing – creating monthly emails that include upcoming events and goings-on for assigned clients using platforms such as Mailchimp.

4. Google & Yelp Reviews – respond in no more than 24 business hours for assigned clients.

5. Photo/video shoots – assist as needed.

6. Client meetings – attend as needed.

7. Client correspondence – work directly with clients as it relates to social media management and content, influencer marketing, newsletter marketing, and Google & Yelp reviews.

8. Other services as mutually agreed upon.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must reside in the Denver metro area
• 2 years of industry experience
• Strong portfolio which demonstrates ideation, writing, and visual skill sets
• Strong storytelling skills
• Able to multi-task and work in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented & a highly motivated self-starter
• Outstanding creative approach to problem solving
• Excellent communication skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
