  • Position Summary: The Marketing Communications Manager (MCM) develops and implements the John I. Haas companywide marketing communications strategy. The MCM creates, implements, and oversees all communications, internal and/or external, that effectively describe and promote the Haas organization, brand, and our portfolio of products. This includes website design, press releases, social media, and all advertising etc. The MCM oversees the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns and lead product launch marketing.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    60% 1. Messaging/Communications:

    • Designs, develops, and distributes consistent themes, messaging, and branding
    • Focuses on what and how to communicate to key audiences; creates clear, defined messaging around the Haas brand, portfolio of products, solutions, and services
    • Facilitates internal communication to ensure alignment between departments and disseminates important information effectively
    • Ensures consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communication channels
    • Cultivates and maintains relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and positive exposure
    • Oversees and owns the Haas marketing brand and logo guidelines ensuring all Haas functions and departments adhere to policies
    • Oversees all marketing aspects of a Haas's image and portfolio of products
    • Collaborates with other managers and sales, public relations, and product development staff

    35% 2. Marketing:

    • Creates compelling content for various platforms including websites, social media, email newsletters, press releases, advertisements, and more.
    • Plans and executes marketing campaigns, tracking and analyzing their effectiveness to optimize future efforts.
    • Collaborates with digital marketing team to integrate communication strategies with digital initiatives, including SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.
    • Stays current on industry trends and conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
    • Implements online marketing activities including social media, SEO/SEM, demand generation, and lead generation
    • Tracks the effectiveness of campaigns and course corrects as required
    • Commissions or conducts market research
    • Oversees the printing, inventory, and editing of marketing and sales collateral
    • Oversees market data analysis and evaluation

    5% 3. Other duties as assigned.

    Conditions of Employment:

    1. Must comply with all John I. Haas, Inc. policies and procedures, including successful passing of pre-employment background check and drug test.

    2. Must comply with our Integrated Management System (IMS) and be trained on procedures applicable to the requirements of the position, including managing significant quality, environmental, and food safety aspects.

    3. Works a 40-hour workweek with occasional additional hours on nights and weekends. This position is not eligible for overtime pay. Some domestic travel required.

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, business, public relations, or a related field
    • Experience using exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills and a keen eye for detail to create clear and concise value propositions for products and services and tailor the message based on the audience
    • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects with competing deadlines and collaborating with others
    • Proficient in content management systems, social media platforms, analytical and other digital marketing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in PR, media relations, and/or crisis communication
    • Experience generating and implementing innovative ideas
    • Experience managing a communications budget
    • Success elevating brand presence internally/within an organization as well as externally with customers

    Pay: $84,160 to $126,240 per year with a target starting salary of $84,160 to $105,200. Please keep in mind this range represents the range for all positions in the pay grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience and if applicable, location.
