Social Media Marketing Specialist

  • Position Summary: The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and ultimately, generate recruitment leads and new business. This role requires a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends, and analytics to optimize our online presence and enhance our brand image, specifically targeting clinicians, hospital leaders, and potential recruits.

    Position Responsibilities:  Essential

    • Develop and execute innovative social media campaigns across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, tailored to engage clinicians, hospital leaders, and industry leaders. 
    • Create informative and compelling content such as posts, videos, infographics, and other content that highlights Ob Hospitalist Group's expertise, services, and benefits.
    • Work closely with members of the marketing team to ensure seamless coordination between content planning and development, the marketing content calendar, and social media strategy.
    • Utilize design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to create visually appealing graphics, images, and visual content for social media posts and campaigns.
    • Utilize video editing platforms to create engaging video content for social media platforms, highlighting key messages, testimonials, and company updates.
    • Manage all aspects of social media channels including content planning, scheduling, publishing, and community management, ensuring content is informative, engaging, and valuable to target audiences.
    • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and implement best practices to maximize performance and stay ahead of the curve in reaching OBHG audiences.
    • Analyze social media metrics and KPIs to track performance, measure ROI, and identify areas for improvement in engaging target audiences.
    • Generate regular reports and insights, highlighting successes, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in healthcare and social media marketing to continually innovate and enhance Ob Hospitalist Group's approach.

     Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
    • 4 years of proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and lead generation.
    • Proficient in using social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.
    • Strong understanding of social media analytics and metrics to track performance and drive insights.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft informative and engaging content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling, visual communication, and adept in using design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
    • Proficient in using video editing platforms to create engaging video content for social media platforms.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices in the healthcare industry.
    • Experience in healthcare marketing or recruitment is a plus. 

     Mental and Physical Demands (per ADA guidelines)

    • Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time. Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5 hrs/day)
    •  Travel Demands:   May require up to 10% of time traveling to hospitals and vendor sites

    Annual Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000K
