Summary
The Social Media Marketing Specialist is a highly organized, detail-oriented, creative individual whose responsibilities will include producing marketing copy to advertise Planet 13 and its products in the realm of Social Media, keeping up to date on industry-related topics and market trends, managing all Planet 13’s social media accounts including strategy, scheduling, captioning, and social listening. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content for company websites, blogs, marketing materials, and similar platforms.
Spearhead updates for all Planet 13’s ordering menus to include product descriptions and packaging photos.
Support external partners with content and requests.
Manage and monitoring social media and company website.
Using social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives.
Collaborating with internal departments to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.
Suggesting new ways to promote company offerings and to reach consumers.
Helps prepare for involvement in community organizations and events.
Conduct market research and keep up with industry trends to help guide the creative development of marketing campaigns.
Maintains inventory of photo work, artwork, and film, and maintains marketing literature, archive files, and sample files.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years’ social media or marketing or advertising related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Cannabis experience preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess a Nevada Dispensary Agent work card and be 21 years of age or older.
Must complete 10 hours of OSHA Industry Training after six months of employment
