The Director of Software Engineering will lead multiple software development teams, including several engineering managers. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the success of our software engineers in delivering expert estimations, designs, and development of software solutions to drive value to our clients. • Influence, coach, and be a leader of leaders to multiple teams of software engineers providing guidance, accountability, mentorship, and support.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, and deployment of custom software solutions.
• Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance are adhered to across all teams.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team to drive continuous improvement in software engineering processes and practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
• Using a balance of technical and business acumen, turn customer leads into clients by leading the team towards developing solutions that create value.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged teams by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading successful software engineering teams in the professional services industry.
• Strong technical skills in full stack software engineering (C# or Java, Angular/React, Relational Databases, DevOps, Azure/AWS)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Experience in people management, growing & grooming teams and ensuring the happiness and productivity of the team's software engineers.
• Experience building strong partnerships with stakeholders and senior leadership identifying any friction and implementing improvements.
• Expertise in strengthening culture, diversity, and inclusion across the organization.
