We are seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to join our team. As the Senior Director of Software Engineering of our organization, you will have the opportunity to create, lead and grow a team of developers. Your focus will be driving the technical direction, development, and strategy of our company's software marketplace. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a startup environment, with large-scale software development and excellent leadership skills.
Compensation Range: $170,000 - $215,000
Responsibilities
Create, lead, and grow a team of developers.
Set technical direction and strategy for the company's software development initiatives.
Build processes to help create scalable and maintainable applications.
Ensure delivery timelines are met on time and within budget.
Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient approach to projects.
Maintain the company's high-quality standards for software development practices.
Mentor and grow team members to help them meet career goals.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition experience
Experience in working for a startup, with a demonstrated history of success in scaling fast
Extensive experience with large-scale software development projects.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
Masters degree in computer science or related field.
