    Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $169,000

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering that supports our Calibration Solutions business has responsibility for leading and expertly managing a team of software engineers in developing and delivering high quality software products. This pivotal role oversees the design, development, testing, and deployment of software architectures and systems, placing a strong emphasis on providing unwavering technical leadership and mentorship for the team's professional development. 

    Key Job Responsibilities:

    ▪ Ensure initiatives stay on schedule and deliver intended scope by managing people, plans, risks, issues, and scope, and by minimizing rework.
    ▪ Collaborate with embedded systems engineers to optimize software-hardware interactions and system performance.
    ▪ Initiate and manage changes effectively and report progress to plans on initiatives.
    ▪ Proactively anticipate, prioritize, and integrate new project requests.
    ▪ Work with the business to prioritize new or competing demands and set delivery and accountability standards.
    ▪ Develop RFQs and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and timelines.
    ▪ Conduct extensive testing and validation of designs and communicate risk levels to the team.
    ▪ Conduct design reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality designs and adherence to best practices.
    ▪ Stay up to date with the latest advancements in software engineering, including machine learning and cloud-native architectures, and apply this knowledge to improve system architecture methodologies, sourcing agility, and design for manufacturability.

    Qualifications/Education:

    ▪ 6 years of people management experience related to the software engineering industry.
    ▪ 10 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering technology applications, preferably in highly regulated industries (Med Devices, Aerospace or Defense).
    ▪ 5 years of experience leading development teams with Agile Development and offshore team experience.
    ▪ Fluency in Python and/or C, C , Java programming languages.
    ▪ 5 years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, SQL, Git, and GitHub, both On-Prem and in the Cloud.
    ▪ Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Azure.
    ▪ Experience with microservice architecture and/or Docker, Microsoft Networking and Security, Microsoft IIS Applications, Microsoft SQL Server scripting, Microsoft Operating Systems, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
    ▪ Strong experience with software development languages, such as Java, Golang, Node.js, Rust, or Python.
    ▪ Experience in machine learning and predictive maintenance.
    ▪ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    ▪ Working knowledge of stage/phase-gate product development processes.
    ▪ Working knowledge of developing and executing test methods, test plans, and test procedures.
    ▪ Experience with web UX development is a plus.
    ▪ Experience building features on digital experience platforms or providing engineering services to marketing organizations is a plus.
