Join our team! We have an exciting opening for a full-time QA Tester to join our innovative Software Development team in Madison, Wisconsin!
This position will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle for multiple projects and collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives on time. We are a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner and operate under an Agile Development Methodology.
Summary:
The QA Tester is responsible for testing assigned output in the production process of deliverables. This position will perform initial bug fixes utilizing current QA testing standards and tools. Tracking and documentation of testing and resolution following identified standards and procedures will be performed.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine and non-routine tests using predetermined testing techniques and procedures to achieve and maintain product quality.
- Collects and records results of sampling and testing to maintain record of product quality.
- Communicates output to appropriate team members in a timely and efficient manner.
- Replicates and reports quality issues to the appropriate project team and QA team.
- Tests and verifies efficacy of applied fixes.
- Assists with revising and updating standard operating procedures.
- Stays current with industry trends, testing tools, and test strategies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- 1 year(s) prior QA testing or software development experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment preferred.
