Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Nursing Quality Maternal Coordinator-Clinical Analyst to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Quality Maternal Coordinator/Clinical Analyst will be part of a clinical quality reporting team. Duties include abstracting clinical data & reviewing charts in paper and electronic formats with an emphasis on maternal patients including but NOT limited to: antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care contributing to dashboards/tables/graphs to help illustrate performance and potential Quality Improvement gaps. Supporting the Clinical Nurse Reporting Supervisor in the submission of other CMS mandated measures including eCQMs (electronic Clinical Quality Measures), core Inpatient, Outpatient and Ambulatory Surgical measures, and Commercial Pay for Performance Programs the facilities(s) participate in, as deemed necessary.
The goal of this position is to assist the Quality Reporting team in successfully supporting patient quality and organizational outcomes geared towards Maternal Morbidity and on all other assigned projects, meet deadlines and submission requirements for CMS reporting and support the team effort to continually develop their skills and contribute to improving the quality and safety environment of the appropriate facilities.

Education/Certification: Current unencumber Idaho or compact state LPN or RN license.
Experience: In Acute Care preferred. Maternal Child knowledge helpful but not required. Quality reporting experience and previous experience with clinical processes and patient care a major plus. Experience with analytical environments (e.g., data warehouse, business intelligence, SAP, etc.) Knowledge of process improvement methods (i.e. LEAN, Plan Do Study Act). Previous experience working in a team centered environment would be largely beneficial to the candidate.
Equipment/Technology: Use of computers and Electronic Health Record software is required. Experience with spreadsheet and database applications like Excel, Business Objects, SQL. Experience with clinical operations, billing and reporting requirements also preferred, but not required.
Language/Communication: Medical record review/abstraction knowledge in multiple specialties. Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, meeting facilitation, presentation, written, listening, and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify and report trends in data that could indicate a process/procedure change needs to take place. Use of problem solving and planning skills with the Clinical Nurse Reporting Supervisor, to improve the quality metrics for the hospital(s). Dynamic presentation skills and ability to develop clear and presentable documentation required.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to do basic math and understand percentages, graphs, statistics.
Mental Capabilities: Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to define problems, collect data and deal with stressful situations in a tactful professional manner. Knowledge of how to apply analytical methods and data to health care problem spaces
Interpersonal: Demonstrates evidence of a team player attitude, communication, education, and collaboration skills. Proven ability to assist the team with creative problem solving. Uses a customer service-oriented approach with a focus on building relationships with people at all levels of the Organization(s).
