Software Quality Assurance Director directs and oversees the implementation of policies and procedures for the software quality assurance function. Evaluates and monitors tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and identification of defects. Being a Software Quality Assurance Director oversees user acceptance, alpha, and beta testing efforts. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Director reports to top management. The Software Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Software Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience with Appium and Selenium (XCUITest, Selendroid, or Espresso would also work)
- Experience in manual testing mobile apps on both iOS and Android
- Test plan, test case management, bug triaging, testing status reports, stakeholder management, SDLC
- Would prefer candidates who have worked as QA contracts with other FAANG companies (Will understand the pace and culture of the team)
Years of Experience/ Degree or Certification:
- An engineering degree in CS is preferred but can be skipped with relevant industry experience
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites.
QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 4 years of industry experience testing software, including website applications.
# Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired, but not required.
# Experience with Selenium is highly desired # Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
# Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
