Software Quality Assurance Manager manages a software quality assurance team. Selects and utilizes tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards. Being a Software Quality Assurance Manager evaluates test results against expected results, implements improvements to process and recommends alternative testing as needed. Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to function manager. The Software Quality Assurance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Software Quality Assurance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience with Appium and Selenium (XCUITest, Selendroid, or Espresso would also work)
- Experience in manual testing mobile apps on both iOS and Android
- Test plan, test case management, bug triaging, testing status reports, stakeholder management, SDLC
- Would prefer candidates who have worked as QA contracts with other FAANG companies (Will understand the pace and culture of the team)
Years of Experience/ Degree or Certification:
- An engineering degree in CS is preferred but can be skipped with relevant industry experience
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, is detail-oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites.
QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 4 years of industry experience testing software, including website applications.
# Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java, and SQL is desired, but not required.
# Experience with Selenium is highly desired # Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
# Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment.
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
