Software Quality Assurance Supervisor jobs in Virginia
Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a software quality assurance team. Assigns testing tasks to team members. Being a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor trains team on tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects and comply with quality standards. Evaluates test results against expected results and recommends improvements to test plans and scripts as needed. Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Reports to a manager. The Software Quality Assurance Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Software Quality Assurance Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Description: Job Posting Parsons is seeking Quality Assurance Engineers with experience in hardware testing, functional level testing, and system level testing to join our team of exceptional individuals. Qualified candidates will be required to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to create test scenarios that model desired system behavior. Successful candidates must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications Must have a Bachelor of Science in engineering, scientific, technical discipline, or comparable work experience Must have at least 10 years total related experience with at least 5 in a testing role Must have active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and amenable for poly upgrade What Required Skills You'll Bring: Experience working in a Linux command line environment Experience with network configuration Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment Experience conducting end-to-end testing of large or complex system of systems Experience analyzing performance, availability, stability, and efficiency of systems Experience validating and verifying application functionality against customer specified requirements Ability to communicate effectively with technical team members, managers, and customers What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox) Experience with testing software components Experience developing automated test harnesses Experience with testing frameworks such as Robot Experience with RVTM, FAT, Acceptance Testing, and other formal testing procedures and documentation Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
