Additionally, Software Quality Assurance Tester may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Software Quality Assurance Tester works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Scope of Work:
The scope of work for the Quality Specialist III/SQA position includes guiding software owners in the grading of SQA requirements based on risk, safety, facility life-cycle, complexity, and project quality requirements. It also encompasses the application of SQA requirements to new and existing software base on life-cycle phases. Other duties of increasing significance for the success of the program are performing reviews of software configuration items, including reviewing the safety implications identified in the failure analysis and fault tolerance design; and developing/updating training for personnel who use and apply software in safety applications.
