Senior Software Engineer, DevOps - Job Opportunity

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in driving a major transformation within Capital One by combining data with emerging technologies.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay updated with technology trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
- Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans in their financial journey.
- Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, as well as Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools like Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience doesn't apply).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Cloud Native technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Unix or Linux system administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with Terraform or Ansible.
- 2 years of experience with container orchestration services including Docker or Kubernetes.
- 2 years of experience with coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby).
- 2 years of experience working with Agile Development Practices.
Salary Information (Full-Time Roles):
- New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $161,900 - $184,800 for Senior Software Engineer.
- San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $171,500 - $195,800 for Senior Software Engineer.
Please note that salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours.
