Job Purpose:
As an entry level Control Systems Engineer, and under the direction of the Automation Engineering Manager, you will design electrical control systems. These systems include PLC controls, operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, and other specialty control system features. You will also support the construction of control systems, including the manufacturing and inspection of UL508A control panels.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess project requirements and undertake relevant research
• Design, improve and troubleshoot control systems for machines and equipment
• Produce and implement designs and test procedures
• Direct and technically assist during equipment assembly or installation
• Execute technical assignments within schedule and budget constraints
• Provide technical support for our manufacturing team.
• Identify and procure materials and components as needed for control panel and system fabrication and assembly
• Create and review O&M manuals
• Must maintain a clean driving record as you may be required to drive a company vehicle at times
• Be willing to travel for short periods of time for evaluations, service or commissioning

Job Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of industrial control systems and how the individual components are applied
• Understanding of AC and DC electrical circuits, and the ability to properly select and size components
• Experience with AutoCAD and basic drafting standards
• Experience with Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have good time management and organizational skills
• Must be willing to learn; this is an entry-level Control Systems Engineering position with outstanding opportunity
