Key responsibilities for this role include:
Working in our world-class Research and Development Center, the incumbent will:
Develop cell-based, ligand binding, and other biochemical methods to characterize proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides, including attributes such as potency, functional activity, and target binding affinity.
Perform advanced analytical testing of complex drug substances and drug products.
Author technical documents such as analytical methods and reports.
Apply sound scientific principles to perform laboratory research.
Present scientific work within and across functions.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline is required. A Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience, a Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience, or a Doctorate and 0-3 years of experience is preferred. However, a combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration.
Must possess knowledge of common biochemical techniques and instrumentation employed to characterize the functional activity of drug products (e.g., cell culturing, cell-based assays, etc.).
Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), analytical and organizational skills.
Must be able to multi-task and drive multiple projects and assigned responsibilities.
Must possess the ability to write comprehensive technical reports and communicate complex concepts to colleagues across functions.
Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.
A general understanding of current regulatory policies applicable to pharmaceutical industry practice and FDA regulations and guidance is preferable.
