The Spa Technician is a Cedar Spa service provider, must be licensed by the state of Idaho, licensed massage therapist, licensed cosmetologist, licensed esthetician, licensed nail technician or a licensed barber. Will provide services that fall within their scope of practice, must be a self-starter and will be responsible for selling products, as well as providing excellent customer services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

Provide spa services to guests in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
Must be willing to orient/coordinate and promote the Cedar spa at events off property such as; tradeshows, hiring events, craft fairs, bridal shows, etc.
Conduct pre and post treatment consultations for client, to suggest the best needs of the client.
Must have knowledge and confidence in recommending retail, upselling services, and rebooking clients.
Proactively develop new customers.
Must be able to reach all goals set by upper management, with an emphasis on revenue goals.
Stay up to date on latest trends and techniques in the spa industry.
Update and maintain customer information records, such as service provided and suggested.
Follows all State requirement and maintains work area with necessary supplies, sanitation and disinfection procedures ensuring area is always clean and sanitized and ready to be used. Attend all staff meetings and continuing education workshops pertaining to your license.
Participate fully in maintaining back bar product and inventory every month.
Often times will have to run spa front desk duties including but not limited to, answering phones, cash handling, starting day, closing out the day with all end of day reports.
Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Some cash handling is required.
Able to work nights, weekends, events, casino/hotel promotions, holidays, including festival and fair.
Duties and responsibilities will include other activities and areas as needed to carry out spa/hotel functions.
Must maintain strict confidentiality of all information processed though the department including records, reports, documents, conversations, clients’ information, etc. A breach of confidentiality will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination from employment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, AND REGISTRATIONS
Idaho Occupational & Professional License (Massage Therapist, Esthetician, Cosmetologist, Nail Technician, or Barber)
Insurance covering your licensed occupation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Spa Technicians will receive up to 20% commission, plus hourly rate, for service sales provided. and receive retail sales commissions up to 10%.
High school diploma or equivalent, and Idaho Licensed Esthetician, and/or Idaho Licensed Cosmetologist, and/or Idaho Licensed Massage Therapist, and/or Idaho Licensed Nail Technician, and/or Idaho Licensed Barber, with 1 years’ spa experience. (G4)
