Spares Coordination Supervisor jobs in Sumter, SC

Spares Coordination Supervisor manages the delivery of spare parts and equipment, and scheduling of customer repairs. Negotiates delivery cost for the organization and the end cost to the customer. Being a Spares Coordination Supervisor verifies terms and conditions of contracts are satisfactorily met. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Spares Coordination Supervisor acts as advisor to spares coordination team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Spares Coordination Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Spares Coordination Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving,
      storing, and shipping products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the
      staff.
    • Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the
      safety of all warehouse employees.
    • Effectively plan and allocate resources in order to meet daily operational requirements,
      maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
    • Train, mentor, and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff in order to cultivate their skills
      and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency.
    • Work together with other departments, such as production teams, to effectively manage and
      prioritize incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Consistently seek out opportunities for process improvement, and implement changes to increase
      efficiency and decrease costs
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance
      with quality standards.
    • Manage and resolve any warehouse-related issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring prompt
      resolution and maintaining positive employee relations.
    • Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse operations, including productivity, inventory
      discrepancies, and shipping/receiving accuracy, providing recommendations for improvement.
    • It may be required to work some weekends if needed.

    Competencies

    • Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively
      supervise and motivate warehouse staff.
    • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or other relevant software to track and
      manage inventory, shipments, and productivity metrics.
    • Sound knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping procedures,
      as well as inventory control techniques.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational challenges promptly.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and operational
      requirements.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and inventory management.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities
      simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and
      demands.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and identify trends to drive continuous
      improvement.
