• Title: Special Education Teacher (3 Openings)
• Location: Novato, CA
• Duration: Full-time 
• Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
• Position Type: Contract
• Working Hours: 40 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday
• Student Age Group: Elementary, Middle and High
• Case Load: 8-10

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other school staff to develop and implement appropriate accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities.
• Adapt and differentiate instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with special needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor students' progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Provide individualized and small group instruction in academic subjects.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and strategies to address challenging behaviors.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' progress, goals, and areas for improvement.
• Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, Student Study Team (SST) meetings, and other relevant meetings.
• Stay current with best practices and trends in special education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid California Education Specialist Teaching Credential or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or special needs.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
