The Tent Master/Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering clients orders to their venue, installing tents, and picking up orders from venues. The ideal person has a strategic, logistical, mind and loves to figure out the best order to pack a truck for multiple deliveries and the best order to deliver or pick-up items from venues. This person is a safe driver, comfortable driving and backing up a box truck and excited to serve our clients in the most beautiful venues.
The Tent Master/Delivery Driver will perform the following tasks and activities:
· Assist the warehouse manager in putting away and keeping the warehouse organized and keeping all items in good repair and their proper location
· Assist the dishwasher in washing and sterilizing rentals
· Accept clients with delivery and returns, always placing returns in the proper place for inspection
· Assist in preparing equipment for the next rental, including counting items, packing items, cleaning, refilling propane, communicating any damage or wear on equipment
· Maintain inventory in InteIlievent, keeping photos up to date for each item and adding new inventory as needed
· Answer the phone in a warm and cheerful manner
· Explain rental fees, provide information about rental items, such as operation and description
· Understand how to look at jobs in Intellievent and find details about jobs
· Know how to print a pull sheet
· Perform small deliveries and pick-ups alone when required
· Assist with deliveries and pick-ups
· Assist in loading trucks
· Assist in unloading trucks
This position reports to the Event Specialist but because this position works closely with both the Warehouse Manager and the Tent Master/Delivery Driver, this person needs to be willing to take direction and be of assistance to multiple teammates. A flexible, helpful, attitude is required.
Requirements of the position:
· Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
· Must be able to understand a road map.
· Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
· Knowledge of computer software. Training on our specific software will be provided.
· Must be able to speak and write English in a professional manner.
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
· Must pass company drug screening and maintain a clean record.
