SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Savannah Distributing Company, family owned and operated and a leader in the beverage distribution industry, is seeking dependable full-time Special Events Coordinator/part-time Merchandiser, for its fast-paced Savannah location.

The Special Events Coordinator duties will include communication with events personnel outside of SDC, execution of said events with loading & delivery logistics, and accounting with all parties involved. Also included is the management of venue partnerships.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

· HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in alcohol distribution and special events
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Strong work ethic with ability to work with little supervision
• Basic mathematical skills
• Dependable with excellent time management skills
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screens
• Have reliable transportation to work each day
• A team player with strong communication skills
• Must be able to pass background and drug test
• Must be able to be DOT certified
• Must be able to lift a full size, 15.5Gal keg (160lbs)
• Must have reliable transportation & live within the Greater Savannah area

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work in a team-oriented, professional and fast-paced environment. Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift from 15 to 80 pounds. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
