  • Duties

    • Serves as the primary planner and action officer for a variety of recurring and special operations, events, and activities, which the Directorate sponsors or supports to include the Bataan Memorial Death March.
    • Serves as advisor for assigned program areas in the functions of planning, coordinating, synchronizing, and executing events and activities that take place at the installation's facilities.
    • Analyzes Operations Orders (OPORDS), summary sheets, and special requests for use of services, facilities and/or equipment to determine required logistical support and assets.
    • Coordinates with event sponsor and ensures appropriate representation at planning and coordination meetings, rehearsals, and after-action meetings.
    • Coordinates with outside agencies/activities as needed and ensures modifications are incorporated into the event/activity plans. Monitors events through execution and provides after-action report when required.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Work experience and/or education related to the duties to be performed.
    • Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events.
    • Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
    • Experience in travel office booking cruises, tours, etc is highly desirable.

    Best Qualifications:
    • At least one (1) year planning, coordinating, and executing special events with minimum participation numbers of at least 5,000.
    • Experience in preparing and/or working with budgets.
    • Experience working with vendors, sponsors, committees, and volunteers to include the procurement and contracting for services and concessionaires.

    PCS Costs

    Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
    • This is a pay-banded position.
    • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
    • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
    Incentives and Bonuses
    • Incentives will not be paid.
    Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
    • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
