  • Duties

    • Responsible for providing operational support to activities who provides support to customers in various scheduled events and functions. Performs duties alone or as a member of a work crew.
    • Responsible for conference room configuration, beginning with organizing tables, chairs, audio/video equipment from storage to actual setup of this furniture/equipment in accordance with established banquet/special event orders.
    • Moves heavy items of furniture and office equipment as required for the applicable conference/meeting set up. Responsible for breakdown and proper storage of this equipment in an efficient and organized manner.
    • Cleans latrines and interior of building as needed. Mows grass, and removes weeds. Trims, edges, and prunes shrubs and trees. Waters plants and cleans drainage ditches.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
    • A one year probationary period may be required.
    • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
    • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para 2 to include a medical examination and Tier 1 background investigation.
    • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
    • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
    • Requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighting up to 40 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
    • Required to stand, walk, bend and kneel for lengthy periods of time.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Three months of laboring experience required
    2. Must have the ability to use, control, and clean tools and power equipment used
    3. Must have the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps without constant supervision of each task assigned

    • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

    • Incentives will not be paid.
    Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
    • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
