Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Your expertise in Retail and patient service will contribute to the overall success of our pharmacy operations.

Duties:
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing, including tablets, capsules, liquids, creams, and inhalants
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies
- Perform medication reconciliation and ensure proper documentation
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient questions and resolving medication-related issues
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy management
- Adhere to all legal requirements, including HIPAA regulations, when handling patient information

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
- Familiarity with different types of medications and their uses
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations for proper dosage determination
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or retail setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
- Understanding of safety practices and adherence to aseptic techniques
