Specialty Pharmacy Technician jobs in Minnesota
Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Specialty Pharmacy Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Responsibilities Job DescriptionAs part of the Pharmacy Technician lll team, you will have an exciting opportunity to join our team and work as a Data Entry Technician. You will be processing prescriptions through workflow and resolving Adjudication's. Also in the position you provide backup telephone support to pharmacy patients, providers and pharmacies. Ensuring that patients are eligible for and receive prescribed medications in an accurate and timely manner via appropriate delivery methods. This includes patient tracking, processing of patient claims, customer service. and other assigned tasks.
QualificationsRequired Experience
One year experience as a pharmacy technician.
Required License/Certification/Registration
Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
Preferred
Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. Other National Pharmacy Technician certification will also be accepted.
