Specialty Pharmacy Technician assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense high dollar/specialty medications (e.g. Oncology, Multiple Sclerosis). Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Being a Specialty Pharmacy Technician receives and stocks incoming supplies. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department. Additionally, Specialty Pharmacy Technician requires a high school diploma. May require Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Specialty Pharmacy Technician works under moderate supervision. Join Lakeview Specialty Hospital's Pharmacy team! Our Pharm Techs provide assistance to the staff pharmacist in the daily preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications, including IV preparation, simple compounding and bubble packing.
Responsibilities will also involve a variety of clerical duties and inventory management tasks.
Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the effective written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous Pharmacy Technician experience and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification are strong pluses!

Hours: PRN / Per Diem - flexible scheduling, 1-2 shifts per pay period / 8-16 hrs per week. On-call weekend rotation every 4-5 weeks.
