Responsibilities

• Use JLG processes to manage the time and eff orts of the production team for project completion.
• Deliver 100% DD specification and 100% CD specifications within the project timeline by coordinating design decisions with the project team.
• Take ownership of the final specification deliverable to aid the team in developing creative, efficient design decisions to inform specifications that achieve a QA rating of 4.
• Train project delivery staff and Specification Writer 1’s in developing top-tier, technically sound specification documents
• Work with Project Managers to analyze best practices, provide research, and update the JLG specification database to assure we are leaders in the industry for project quality and up-to-date practices.
• Assist Project Managers in keeping the change order percentage low.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in architecture, engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• 5 years of demonstrated experience of code knowledge, building technology, product research, and specifications
• Evidence of quality project document delivery and advanced knowledge of building science
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of architectural design, engineering coordination, design trends, products, construction methodology and procedures, building systems, codes, material application, and manufacture supplier appropriateness
• Advanced knowledge of architectural specification writing and advanced BSD SpecLink skills; Intermediate Bluebeam, Revit, and MS Office knowledge
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
