Sponsored Programs Director directs and oversees externally funded programs for a university/college such as research programs and scholarship programs.   • The Director of Programs oversees the administration and coordination of all aspects of FANM's programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, reporting to funders, and controlling program activities. The Director of Programs develops the programs and teams to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of FANM. She/he designs policies, procedures, and strategies to meet program objectives. She/he oversees program operations and leads and coordinates the activities of program teams and partners. Utilizes data-driven analysis and forecasting. She/he measures and evaluates the performance of programs. She/he organizes and works fundraising and community outreach events.

    Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

    Plan, Organize, and Implement FANM’s expansion -developed and supervised all programs

    Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities following the mission and goals of FANM

    Develop the program and agency budgets by working closely with the COO, CFO, and Fiscal/Legal Director.

    Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization

    Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes.

    Research and write grant proposals to support the organization’s programs.

    Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support all programs

    Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement

    Develop funding proposals in collaboration with Management/Development Staff to ensure continuous service delivery

    Develop a plan for quarterly grant review to ensure timely spending of all grant line items

    Organize the program to ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization

    Develop an updated filing system- Develop forms and records to document program activities

    Establish and implement a timely performance management process for all program staff

    Lead the program

    Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training

    Supervise program staff by providing direction, timely evaluations, and feedback

    Communicate with members and other stakeholders to gain community support for all programs and solicit input for program improvement

    Cultivate existing relationships with vendors, community groups, companies, and schools to ensure sufficient resources and access to services

    Identify, assess, and coordinate student classes, seminars, and camps

    Plan annual graduation ceremony and community showcases for all after-school programs

    Programs Control

    Report out on the program for management and funders

    Collaborate with fundraising staff to ensure grants and other materials are aligned with program goals and outcomes

    Ensure that all programs operate within the approved budget

    Monitor all program activities regularly and conduct annual evaluations according to the program evaluation framework

    Report evaluation findings to the Chief Operating Officer and recommend appropriate changes to enhance the program.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will oversee FANM’s award-winning programs, partner with the ED, and work collaboratively with a high-performance team. Specific requirements include:

    Minimum of an MA/MS

    Demonstrated success in developing and evaluating program models, selecting and successfully operationalizing innovative programs

    Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility and performance

    Proficient with grant writing, grant evaluation, and technology

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details

    Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, a commitment to and a passion to serve those less fortunate, our youths, and FANM’s mission

    Compensation: 60K to 85K

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
