Position: Radiology Technologist
Contract Term: 1 Year (Possibility for Extension)
Client: Welch Community Hospital (in-house radiology department), WV
Radiologic Technologist must be licensed, or a temporary permit is required from the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Radiologic Technology. Preference may be shown to those applicants who are American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible.
Each candidate must have a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Card (CPR).
Radiologic Technologist Requirements:
- Radiologic Technologist must perform general radiographs, portable exams, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, mammography, and C.A.T. scans which includes administering oral and IV contrast. Technologists must follow regulated methods and procedures in order to achieve high quality radiographs and to ensure the safety of the patient.
- Radiologic Technologist must complete timely documentation into patient’s electronic medical records and PACS.
- Radiologic Technologist must perform clerical duties including registering patients, scanning forms into PACS, sending exams from the Computerized Reader (CR), and checking exams sent to PACS.
- Radiologic Technologist must transport patients as needed to and from the emergency department, medical-surgical unit and intensive care unit. Must explain exam procedures to patients to ensure their cooperation and to allay their anxiety about the exam.
- Radiologic Technologist must follow policies and procedures as well as radiology orientation pack which will be provided during hospital/facility orientation.
- Radiologic Technologist must be available to work flexible shifts as needed.
