- Robert Half is seeking candidates for a full-time Staff Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative company. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. Candidates who can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation, will be preferred for this Staff Accountant position. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you will succeed in this role. Based in the Clive, Iowa area, this role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. If you're a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets, this may be the role for you.What you get to do every day- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision- Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request- Partake in various department-wide initiatives
