- Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Staff Accountant for a permanent position with a growing company. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, assist with monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation. This position plays an intricate part in financial reporting and analysis. Located in the Winston Salem, North Carolina area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.Responsibilities- Take part in various department-wide initiatives- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close - In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts- Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
