Robert Half is looking for ambitious, detail-oriented Staff Accountants. This Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. If you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets, you will be preferred for this role.If you are already in contact with one of our Recruiting Managers, please reach out to them directly to discuss this opportunity. If not, for immediate consideration, please apply or call Warren Knight at 484-214-2624What you get to do every single day- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting- In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
