- Robert Half is offering a permanent position for a skilled Staff Accountant to join their dynamic, rapidly-growing team in the Construction/Contractor industry. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Lend your skills towards developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will review schedules for the reporting processes, take part in compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This company, based in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded.Your responsibilities- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner- Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested- Take part in various department-wide initiatives- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
