Department: Materials Management
Supervisor’s Title: Supply Chain Manager
I. Position Summary: Under supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for issuing and delivering supplies inside the hospital, maintains accurate inventories, receives deliveries, and distributes to appropriate departments, process daily requisitions and delivers to departments. The work of this position is both physical, which requires daily lifting (reaching and bending) of case lots up to 50lbs, and clerical, which includes compiling and maintaining inventory of material received, stocked, issued, and entered in the computer system. Performs other administrative duties as required.
II. Principal Functions and Responsibilities:
A. Replenish daily supplies to the medical areas of the hospital.
B. Fill daily requisitions and deliver to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.
C. Receives deliveries against purchase orders, evidencing delivery and noting shortage or damage. Place into inventory or deliver to the appropriate departments.
D. Maintain accurate records of items delivered and issued in the computer system.
E. Assist in always keeping the storerooms and storage areas neat and clean.
F. Maintain accurate daily inventory.
G. Assist with annual inventory counts for Materials at the end of the fiscal year.
H. In the absence of the Manager, may be required to place orders for supplies following correct procedures.
I. Participates in meetings or classes as required.
J. Assists in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
K. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
L. Employee will maintain positive and effective relations with co-workers, other departments, clinicians, patients, and visitors.

A. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
B. Preferred Education: Computer experience preferred
C. Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift large boxes up to 50lbs.
