Job Responsibilities:
Stock Clerks bring to the job manual dexterity, mechanical skill operating a fork lift, plus aptitude for learning to work in a warehouse environment.
Performs duties related to issuing equipment and receiving of equipment. Operating Forklifts/pallet jacks using these to bring in stock from deliveries or when equipment is being issued or turned back in. You will conduct function tests on equipment to ensure equipment is working properly.
This position will also require inputting data to maintain computerized records.
Receives guidance, as required, from a Supervisor or higher-level Technician.
Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, equipment, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse or storage yard.
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.
Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock. Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.
Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
Prepares and assists on shipping Government freight to include small package express shipments. Also, Prepare Transportation Documents.
Inspects in-bound shipments from notification of consignee for possibility of improper handling by commercial carrier. Additionally, you will be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years old or older, a U.S. citizen and must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to speak and write the English Language proficiently.
Experience in Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must possess and continuously maintain a current State Driver’s License.
Must have Fork lift experience.
Must be able to stand, sit, bend, reach and walk for extended periods of time.
