Overview
The Assistant Managers of Parking Operations support the Manager of Parking Operations in ensuring guests and Parking employees alike have a safe and positive experience while on the property. In the absence of the Manager of Parking Operations, the Assistant Managers assume the role as the heads of the department and oversee staff in the performance of their assigned duties.
The ideal candidate has a background in parking operations and/or event planning/management and has strong written and verbal communication skills. This individual is comfortable directing the work of others and sets an example for their team by being a multi-tasker who can manage various tasks and customers at one time while maintaining a calm, positive, and professional demeanor.

National Western Complex is a multi-purpose indoor and outdoor commercial and agricultural complex where dusty conditions and animals may exist. While performing the duties of this job, work is performed both indoors and outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, rain, and on varied surfaces. Our employees must be able to work indoors and outdoors with regular and prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures, must be comfortable working at heights and be able to work around moving machinery and equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 25 pounds.
Scheduling Requirements
While this position will have some set hours, schedules are likely to change on a regular basis based on the needs of upcoming shows. Early mornings, late nights, and weekends are all to be expected. Candidates must have open availability and be willing to work at various hours to complete the primary functions of this role.
Like almost all NWSS team members, this position will need to be on-site every day during Stock Show, typically for 12-16 hours at a time.
