The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a storeroom; sets up and maintains storekeeping system and procedures; maintains inventory records and stock record cards; receives, stores and issues supplies and materials; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancies:- There are two (2) vacancies with with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. These positions are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a storeroom in an outlying base yard (Heeia, Wahiawa, or Waianae), which receives, stores, and issues supplies and materials where the number of stock items is less than 2500. The duties include establishing and maintaining the storekeeping system and procedures consistent with the policies and guidelines that ensure effective control and accountability of all items. In addition to storekeeping duties, these positions are also responsible for clerical and administrative support for the base yard to which the position is assigned. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper and accurate recordation and input of data elements essential to monitoring the issuance of supplies and materials, time and attendance, service order documents, customer account information, etc. The clerical duties also include office support such as answering phones, filing, typing, and overall office management of the base yard. Based on operational needs, position may also provide storeroom and clerical support to other base yards.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two (2) years of computerized storekeeping experience.
Such experience must have shown demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of storekeeping; purchasing rules and regulations; and the ability to plan, establish and maintain storekeeping systems.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
1. Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
2.
