Transportation Data Analyst
The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization (SCTPO) is the lead agency for transportation planning as the region’s federally designated metropolitan planning organization. The SCTPO offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plan in the Florida Retirement System. The SCTPO is located in Viera, Florida. Offices are centrally located with a short drive to the beaches and attractions including, Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral. Brevard County is a dynamic growing area with a population of around 600,000 that represent a wide range of ages, abilities and interests.
Job Overview
Performs skilled professional work in transportation planning programs and initiatives that include analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data sets utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS), graphic design software or other relevant visual programs. Work includes project management, data compilation, analysis, maintenance and/or technical support for projects in the transportation planning field.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Experience: Prefer knowledge of metropolitan planning organizations, Brevard county roadway system, and experience in ArcGIS software, data analysis, and traffic modeling.
Special Requirements: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. The SCTPO is not able to sponsor visas.
